Los Gauchos Outfitters did not start as a Uruguay outfitter. In fact, Uruguay and hunting was not even in the same thought or plan for Los Gauchos Outfitters. However, great success season after season bird hunting in Argentina, Los Gauchos Outfitters headed east for a short break.

We came back from the rice fields and hundreds of acres of rice, Uruguay farm land, and marshes and ducks that had never seen a decoy or a hunter. Well, welcome to the Los Gauchos family, Uruguay.

Uruguay duck hunting quickly became a success and booked up season after season. Los Gauchos saw the need for other wingshooting options in Uruguay and headed west. The western part of Uruguay was just like the sky of Cordoba. Doves, doves, and more doves feeding on the hundreds of acres of sunflower fields that make up the majority of Uruguay.

Uruguay outfitters are few and far between. Los Gauchos Outfitters set foot and established the hunting brand and high quality of waterfowl and wingshooting trips that now only a few provide.

Los Gauchos Outfitters is as strong as ever in Uruguay with duck hunting, dove hunting, Perdiz hunting and Uruguay pigeon hunting. We even got ourselves wet with some of the great Uruguay dorado fishing.
